Terms of Use

Activity is made by The Common Company LLC. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy.
Who can use Activity
You must be 18 or older. Activity is made for adults in a relationship, and it isn’t for children. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
How Activity works
Activity links exactly two people who each agree to it, through a private invite code. Either of you can unlink at any time, and either of you can delete your account, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your content
The notes you write stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to your partner, which is all the app does with them. Don’t use Activity to harass anyone, to send anything unlawful, or with someone who hasn’t agreed to be linked with you. We may remove content or close an account that breaks these terms.
Consent between partners
Activity is only for people who both want to use it. A request is a question, never an obligation, and a Not Now is an answer to respect. Nudges exist only if the other person chooses to allow them, and either of you can set them back to none at any time.
Emails
By creating an account you agree that we may email you about Activity, both messages the service needs to send, such as a reply to your feedback or news about your account or a payment, and occasional news such as a new feature. You can stop the news at any time through the unsubscribe link in any of them, or by emailing us, and your account carries on exactly as before.
Activity Plus
Activity is free to download and use. Activity Plus is an optional subscription with extra features.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
- Any free trial ends when a subscription starts, and unused trial time is lost.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- Prices and what Plus includes can change. We’ll tell you before a change affects a subscription you already have.
Online access to paid features
Paid features, including Activity Plus and the one-time Supporter purchase, need an internet connection, and our servers check your purchase when you use one. If your connection, our service or our purchase-verification provider is unavailable, paid features may be temporarily unavailable even if you have already paid. This also applies to Plus access shared with your partner. Once your purchase is verified again, access returns.
Things we can’t promise
Activity is provided as it is. We can’t promise it will always be available, that notifications will always arrive, or that it will never lose data. Please don’t rely on it for anything urgent. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Common Company LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Activity at any time by deleting your account in Settings › Delete Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the app, in which case we’ll give notice where we reasonably can.
Apple
These terms are between you and The Common Company LLC, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Activity or its content, and no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update the date above. Continuing to use Activity after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
